Our story is charming and timeless! We had our first date at Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea. At the time, I was reading a book, The Rules Time-tested Secrets for Capturing the Heart of Mr. Right; circa 1995. I explained that I was reading this book to Chris, and explained that it was silly but it had some solid points. He found this to be funny, and chose to play by the rules. The "short dates" ended up lasting hours without us realizing it. This was the start of our love story.

Over time we bonded over our love of music, attending Indie, Country, Ska and Rock concerts over the years. Eating great food to give life flavor. And going on adventures to Maine, New York, Montreal, Virginia, Florida and the Bahamas to name a few. We cannot wait to continue our journey and have adventures along the way!

The proposal happened on March 8, 2025 at Bayard Cutting Arboretum. Chris was planning the perfect moment. He has a true passion for photography and has a routine of having his camera wherever we go. We walked throughout the grounds enjoying the beautiful day. Chris had never been there and was secretly trying to find the perfect location. He found a beautiful secluded spot right off the water. He set up the camera to take what I thought was a usual picture. He asked me to stand in front of the camera for framing. Then he set the timer, ran over to me, and swiftly got on one knee to pop the question. Safe to say, I never saw it coming! I was stunned and immediately said yes! While enjoying the merriment of our new engagement, life continued to move so quickly. Several days later we were lucky enough to have our offer accepted on a house that we loved. It all fell into place like magic!

We were so excited that we couldn't wait! We had a very intimate ceremony with our closest family on November 7, 2025. The next day, we realized our wedding date was actually the date of our first date! Timing is everything! We only thought it was appropriate to have our reception on the one year anniversary of our wedding! We cannot wait to celebrate with all of our friends, family and loved ones. We hope to see you on the dance floor!
